History

MCG was established in 1985 by Dr. Mohamed I. Amer, professor of geotechnical engineering at Cairo University. After receiving his Master’s and Ph.D. degrees from University of Maryland, United States, Dr. Amer started his business mainly specializing in geotechnical consultations besides his work in teaching and research at the university.

To accommodate the increasing market demand, his operating team has been growing to include two other Ph.D. professional engineers. One of them is also a professor of geotechnical engineering and the other is a professor of concrete structures. Helping these principal engineers, a crew of highly qualified senior and junior engineers in addition to the assisting administrative staff. This helped us to respond easily to the market demand and allowed the specialization of structural engineering to be officially added to the consultancy. The office organization has been in a continuous refine by the time.

Now, MCG has dealt with 14 different types of Clients and contributed into 10 different natures of projects exceeding the number 2500 on the scale of Egypt & the Middle-East ranging from residential passing through oil & gas ending by worship buildings projects.

We are also looking forward to including other engineering disciplines that will allow us to compete powerfully in the Integrated Engineering Projects; however, our current 14 affiliates in architecture, interior design, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, sanitary, highway engineering, urban planning, industrial planning, marine engineering, geophysics, flood control, irrigation, topographical survey and landscape are well-qualified and also well-considering the work philosophy of MCG in their deliverables.
