Chairman
Prof. Mohamed I. Amer was born in 1952, Cairo, Egypt. He received his bachelor degree (with Honors) in Civil Engineering from Cairo University in 1975. He, then, worked as a teaching assistant in the same university. After completing his Egyptian military duty, he traveled to the United States where he started his post-graduate studies. In 1980 he received his Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Maryland, MD, USA. In 1984, and from the same university, he received his Doctor of Philosophy degree in Civil Engineering specializing mainly in Geotechnical Engineering/Soil Dynamics.
Afterwards, he returned to Egypt to continue his academic career at Cairo University and also to establish in parallel his separate professional business at MCG Misr Consult Group working in the field of engineering consultation.
Now, academic wise, he is working as a professor of Geotechnical Engineering in Cairo University. Professionally, he is the chairman of MCG Misr Consult Group. He is, also, well recognized allover Egypt and many other middle-eastern states as a Geotechnical and Structural consulting Engineer.
